Ketch Up

Howdy y'all! Sorry for not sending those emails the past couple weeks, they've been hectic but pretty good!

Two weeks ago was a great week. We went paintballing as a zone so that was fire. The rest of the week was set up nicely! We had a visit from an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, Elder Gerrit W. Gong give our mission a visit. The messages he shared with us were spectacular, and I loved every bit of it! We also had zone conference the day before, so the Spirit was so insanely strong going into the rest of the week. We found 20 new friends in 3 days!! What an insane week!

Last week wasn't as strong, but we still made a strong 10 new friends to follow up. The week as a whole wasn't particularly special, not many new or different things happened. It was productive and fun.

For my spiritual thought, I want to address the love and charity of Christ. With preparations for the mission to send home our beloved President and Sister Holmes, I've personally been able to notice even more ways that they show our love for us! Sister Holmes especially is the greatest example I've ever seen of this kind of love. Everything that she does, whether it be responding to a text, call, or seeing the missionaries in person, presents a nearly perfect example of how we should each be striving to love one another. We will miss President and Sister Holmes dearly, and we are extremely excited to meet the new mission leaders!

For those of you who read this far, I appreciate the emails that I get in return. They always remind me of how much love and support I get from those who are back home striving to follow in the footsteps of our Saviour Jesus Christ!

MTC Week One 09-12-2025

  Hello my friends! This email comes soon after the other, but my p-day for the MTC is on Friday. Since I just got here on Wednesday, there's not a whole lot to tell. Monday - On Monday, I had my last day of home MTC and that was fantastic. Some good learning came from that day but there's nothing specific that happened. I was able to finish up my packing and also slept at my own house for the very last time. Tuesday - Tuesday was the first day of travel. I said goodbye to my family for the last time in two years and got on the road. My dad and Caleb rode with me, because my dad was taking him up to BYUI right after dropping me off at the MTC. We stopped at Buc-ee's for lunch and compiled the whole day of driving to 13 1/2 hours. When we stopped we had made it to Cortez, Colorado, where we stayed the night in a hotel. MTC Week Two 09-19-2025

This was a pretty eventful week, so I'll try to explain everything as best as I can. It was a great week, even through all the business. I'm tired, but not of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Saturday : The day after pday. Saturday was a very good day. We started this one off by going to sand, and getting cleaned up afterwards. Breakfast is always fun after we compete a little bit. After lunch we went to the temple. We did the initiatory and baptism for the dead ordinances. It's so cool to see how different they do it from the temple back home! I loved it. Sunday : My first Sunday at the MTC! This day was super spiritual and definitely tiring. There were so many great experiences and great messages shared that day. Me and Elder Christensen taught a small lesson in Elders' Quorum and it went well. Sacrament meeting here was so peaceful and fitting for the environment. Finding Frenzy

Howdy y'all! I hope your week went as good as mine! Monday:  I don't remember much of what happened on Monday besides that it was Zone pday and we played a pretty fun game. We also planned out a competition for the next two weeks, the Finding Frenzy. Basically we will be awarded points depending on how many people we find, and after two weeks whichever District has the most points, wins. We don't know what the award is yet, but we still hope we win! Tuesday:  On Tuesday I went on an exchange with Elder Andriamarotiana! He is from Madagascar and a great missionary! We taught so many lessons and found quite a few people, so that was cool! At the end we did and exchange review, and he told me that he's gonna be implementing what I showed him, which not only makes me feel great, but it also means he learns really quickly!
