Transfer Soon??

Howdy everybody! Hope ya'll are doing well! This week was interesting, some good some bad. I'll just get right into it. Monday (last): I went over this in my last email, I know it was long but if you missed it, it's towards the bottom! Tuesday: This was a rough day, all contacts and no lessons. Good contacts, but we didn't have any opportunities to teach anyone anything. Wednesday: The best day of the week for pros!! We had 5 lessons scheduled and every single one of them happened! Each one had a separate topic and we were able to go over all sorts of aspects of the gospel with each separate person! It was spiritually uplifting and a great day. Thursday: We turned around from the spiritual high and dropped back down again. We had two lessons and both of them were iffy about listening. We invited them to come to church and read the BoM but no one wanted to keep going. Friday: My first Zone Conference! This was an amazing and spiritual day. The talks and trainings were a...

The Power of Prayer

Hello everyone! This week's email will be a ride, good and bad. It's going to be a super long one, so sorry about that. Also join the photos for a virtual African safari! Anyways, I'll just get straight into it. Monday: Last pday we played a lot of sports and I learned that I'm still awful at pickleball. Elder Edwards had a football though, so we were able to mess around with that a lot. Not much else happened outside of that. Tuesday: Just another regular pros day. Canceled appointments, lots of contacts, and no new friends. Wednesday: Another regular pros day. Same story as Tuesday.  Thursday: Now this day was wild. It started off slow, but quickly picked up. We went to visit a friend we're trying to progress and she wasn't home. As we left to head to another friend for the same thing, we were attacked with the first round of rain. An absolute downpour. Now I said the first round, because as we reached the second friend, the rain began again. Only this time,...

Normalcy

Hello people of the regular world! This week was super monotone and hard. We had a very small amount of lessons or contacts and its pretty demotivating, but we're pushing through. Monday: Last pday was pretty boring, just a lot of hanging out. We went to a crocodile farm for my comp, but he only wanted to visit the gift shop. After that we played basketball with another compship so I guess that was fun. Tuesday: I had my first companions exchange with the DL. We went to his area and did some finding. It was a good day. Nothing special after that. Wednesday: On Wednesday we met with a tribal leader, or the King of an area. We needed to get permission to proselyte in the area so we didn't get executed. That was pretty fun, and the brother who introduced us took us to a waterfall afterwards. When we came back from that we had no lessons scheduled and barely anyone wanted to talk to us. It started ok and ended bad. Thursday: Me and Elder Gutierrez went finding for the very first t...

The Tales of Pancake House and KFC

Hello people of the world! I'm back with another email to send, but not a lot interesting happened this week, so this email may be shorter than expected from me. Monday: Last Monday was my first pday in the field. Our ZL's did an exchange with one companionship in our district so we got to hangout with one of them. We started the day off by sleeping in and waking up to immediately go get some food. When we came back, we found that the one ZL that came to hang with us was the chill one (let's goo) and he gave us the idea to go to pancake house. It's a 35 minute drive through the mountains, and its absolutely stunning. When we got there, there were monkeys running around on the bridge and around the building! It was awesome to see that wildlife. The food was great and the drive back was insanely foggy and scary, but still cool to see the foliage vanish into the fog when you looked over the edge. Tuesday: Our first day back in the area, and Tickyline is one interesting pla...
