Ketch Up

Howdy y'all! Sorry for not sending those emails the past couple weeks, they've been hectic but pretty good! Two weeks ago was a great week. We went paintballing as a zone so that was fire. The rest of the week was set up nicely! We had a visit from an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, Elder Gerrit W. Gong give our mission a visit. The messages he shared with us were spectacular, and I loved every bit of it! We also had zone conference the day before, so the Spirit was so insanely strong going into the rest of the week. We found 20 new friends in 3 days!! What an insane week! Last week wasn't as strong, but we still made a strong 10 new friends to follow up. The week as a whole wasn't particularly special, not many new or different things happened. It was productive and fun. For my spiritual thought, I want to address the love and charity of Christ. With preparations for the mission to send home our beloved President and Sister Holmes, I've personally been able to no...

Catch Up

Howdy ya'll! Sorry about not sending an email last week, and I'm also sorry about this late email! Forgive me! Pretty much all that has happened recently is a ton of finding, a ton of teaching, I caught a mild cold, and an exchange with the AP's! Sunday was pretty fire, we saw our most progressing friends all come to church so that was awesome. After that wasn't so awesome though, as I accidentally ate some raw goat... Safe to say my stomach was hurting for a while afterwards, but I'm all good now! Spiritual Thought: It's always amazing to see how everyone can progress from where they were, to where they are, to who they can become, and that includes ourselves! During the exchange with the AP's, I was able to see what I was doing well at, and what I needed to improve on. It was amazing to hear the feedback and I look forward to making myself better as I invite you all to do the same!

Busy Week

Howdy ya'll! Sorry for not sending an email last week, we were crazy busy! Last Week: Last week was the end of my time with Elder Phabia. We had a great time together, and I was sad to see him go. Regardless, on Thursday last week we went to transfers and I picked up my greenie! I forget if i mentioned him in my last email, but his name is Elder Balad and he's from the Philippines! He's an absolutely fantastic person and he's gonna be an even better missionary. Monday: Last Monday was Elder Balad's first, so we did some nice prep work for the week. Upon returning home, we played Monopoly the rest of the day, which Elder Balad seems to love now! Tuesday: This was a great day! We started by cleaning the bikes, then went to do some door knocking. We found a very kind and welcoming family who we really hoped would progress, and so far so good. After that we went to do Sister Natalie's baptism interview, and she nailed it! We were so happy! After we taught a few mo...

Training?

Howdy ya'll! I hope your days are going well! I'll just get right into it. Monday: Monday was chill, we woke up and did our weekly planning. After that the ZL's let us know that we were going to practice a musical number for the upcoming Zone Conference. It was a pretty fun experience to be with the whole zone. Elder Walton (my ZL) is really fun to be around and I love talking to him. After that I got a haircut and the day was finished. Tuesday: We started off the day with some planning and heading to a lesson. The people weren't there, so we decided to do some finding. It was unsuccessful, as we walked from their house to the main road, talking to as many people as we could. After that we went and put someone on date! After that we went and helped paint our bishop's house! Wednesday: Wednesday was Zone Conference! The trainings were phenomenal and the Spirit was insanely strong. We were taught about the importance of daily planning as well as how big social me...

Finding Frenzy

Howdy y'all! I hope your week went as good as mine! Monday:  I don't remember much of what happened on Monday besides that it was Zone pday and we played a pretty fun game. We also planned out a competition for the next two weeks, the Finding Frenzy. Basically we will be awarded points depending on how many people we find, and after two weeks whichever District has the most points, wins. We don't know what the award is yet, but we still hope we win! Tuesday:  On Tuesday I went on an exchange with Elder Andriamarotiana! He is from Madagascar and a great missionary! We taught so many lessons and found quite a few people, so that was cool! At the end we did and exchange review, and he told me that he's gonna be implementing what I showed him, which not only makes me feel great, but it also means he learns really quickly! What a great day! I also slept in his flat, which has no fans and was super hot the whole time but it was awesome. Wednesday:  On Wednesday I woke up in E...

It's So Good to Be Back!

Howdy y'all! Another week has passed, and this one wasn't so bad. Enjoy! Monday:  Last Monday was a whole lotta nothin. We hadn't gotten our allotment yet, so we had no food to eat and nothing to do. We sat around literally all day because without food, we had no energy or motivation to do anything. Tuesday:  Tuesday was a pretty good day I feel. We taught a few lessons, one with a friend we have on date. The others we taught are all hopefully going to be on date soon. They were all powerful, and I really hope that they lock in for church in the coming weeks. We got allotment late that night, so we went and bought what we needed to eat for the night, so for the first time in two days we had food in our bellies for bed! Wednesday:  With the newfoud money we had, we decided to spend the morning shopping for groceries. We got all that done in about an hour and a half, got some lunch, and went home to put it all away. After that we headed to the area! Today we had the ...

Exchanges, Midtransfers, and Money

Howdy y'all! I hope all has been well with you and I apologize for not sending an email last week, I was crazy tired by the end of the day. Last Week:  Last week was a great week, We had some nice exchanges with the Ap's, and we had Elder Tsihala go with us for a couple days. We used their car, and that was pretty nice. Those were the two most productive days of the week. Last Friday we had one of the ZL's go with us, Elder Reyes. Since they didn't have a car, and no access to an extra bike, we had a walking day. That was pretty relaxing and we had some good conversations. On Saturday we had a stake-wide soccer tournament and that was decently fun. I played keeper for the missionary team. Monday:  Last Monday was pretty normal. We just went grocery shopping and hung out for the day. Nothing super special happened. Tuesday:  On Tuesday we discovered that we had no water! This sucked because I always shower in the morning, so I had to wait until the water came back to bec...
