Ke Decembaaaaa (and happy new year)

Howdy ya'll, my friends, family, and loved ones!

It's been a hot minute since I've sent an email, so sorry about that. I'll try to keep it as brief as I can!

Christmas Week: This whole week we had many short days, and Christmas itself was a p-day. On the short days, we weren't allowed to be in the area past a certain time because the drunk people here made it too dangerous. On Christmas Eve, some of our zone came and hung out with us, and we all slept over in another elders' flat because we were allowed to. On Christmas day, we all got up late because we could, and after that went and played about 3 hours of basketball. I got severely sunburnt but ut was fun so it was worth it. After basketball we all got cleaned up and we went and had Christmas dinner at the senior couple's house, the Andelins! It was super good, and we all shared a spiritual thought! After that we just played some games and it was a good time. The rest of the week was back to work like normal.

New Year's Week: This week was structured the same way as last week. A few half days, and New Year's Day was an all day p-day. On the hours we worked, we got alot of stuff done. On New Year's Eve, we were allowed to stay up until the new year, so that was fun. I ended up being in 2026 hours before most of ya'll! On New Year's Day we did the same thing, played lots of basketball and went to the Andelin's to eat dinner. It was some really good tex-mex. After that we played more games and had tons of fun. Overall a veyr good week! Until the end...

Our teaching pool has run pretty much dry. After last week some people moved away and others got so drunk they told us to ever come back. The few we do have are not very promising. One of them did their own internet research about the church and is now super skeptical, another told us that they'd text us whe they're ready to meet again. The two best ones are being baptized next Sunday, so we won't be meeting with them as often anymore. Door knocking just simply doesn't work in our area anymore, because everyone who can speak english or might be interested goes to work during the times that we're working. We continue to pray to find the Lord's elect. If ya'll can pray for us as well in the coming weeks, we really need it and we would be so grateful! We hope that the Lord will answer our prayers and give us more of his prepared spirits to teach!

Spiritual Thought: There wasn't very many options for this portion of the email. Not ery many spiritual experiences happened, besides me needing a blessing to stay some evil spirits that kept tormenting my dreams. Anyways, preisthood blessings are one of the greatest gifts God has give His children here on earth. The priesthood gives us a small portion to use God's power, and has helped so many on my mission so far. As long as the priesthood holders performing the blessing are worthy, they can truly be guided by the Spirit to do God's personal will here on earth There's nothing He can't do through His servents. God loves us so much, and blessings can show us how much power He really has. Wether it's a blessing of healing, protection, or guidance, you can always feel the Spirit and you can know exactly what blessings God has prepared for you!
