Major Disappointment

Howdy ya'll!

This was a spectacular week! Until the end...

Monday: We got the car washed and I made tons of cookie dough. All of the ingredients were paid for by the mission! After that we had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner at the senior couple's home! It was a good day.

Tuesday: We had a very normal day. Nothing super special happened thay I can remember. Lots of lessons and lots of hope.

Wednesday: The spiritual high from Sunday continued, even though almost every lesson fell through. One that didn't, though, was one that wasn't scheduled. It was a man named Charles, and ill go over it in my spiritual thought. The few we had were very good and fulfilling. That night we had a choir practice and I sang a solo.

Thursday: Another day of not remembering much. I think we put a few more people on date but I'm not too sure if it was this day. Overall what I remember is a full day of teaching.

Friday: Zone Conference! This was the Christmas celebration Conference so itbwas very special. Lots of amazing trainings and testimonies were shared. Remember that cookie dough I made on Monday? Well I froze it til Thursday night and then baked it all and brought them to ZC under the direction of Sister Holmes. Everyone loved them!

Saturday: Today we had our interviews with President Holmes! He told me thay he's proud of the work I'm doing and that there’s potential for me to train! He also said that I need to focus more on ant faults that I may have. His prayer at the end was magnificent! I wish I could share what he said! The rest of the day was forgettable, because I don't remember what happened.

Sunday: Here's where the title comes in. After last week having so many people show up to church, this week just sucked. NOBODY SHOWED UP THIS WEEK. It was heartbreaking. Everyone had a valid reason, except those we couldn't reach. It was so sad. The rest of the day just sucked afterwards and I couldn't help but feel down. Mission is hard. It hurts to see those you love not do what you know is best for them. But we press forward.

Spiritual Thought: Remember Charles? So that morning we prayed to find some people who are prepared to learn the truth. Charles here, prayed to find the truth at the same time. The first thing he saw when he opened Facebook was an ad from our church. And so we were able to meet with him the same day! God really does assist in the work, just as long as we put the same effort.

Much love,
Elder King
