Mudding Legally

Howdy ya'll!

It was a pretty quick week for me, and I dont remember too much, but here goes!

Monday: We put Graca on date! She's so excited to learn as much as she can and is so happy to progress. She loves the gospel and is taking in everything she can! The way to her house isn't a true road, so its tons of muddy potholes and after tons of rain, mini lakes. So we consistently went through super muddy terrain and if you check out the photo album you can see how bad it got! After we came back we went shopping and prepared to have a nice braai, like a barbecue. The steak was fantastic!

Tuesday: Exchanges with Elder Ramialson! He said he loves hearing me teach and that he's happy that our area is growing so rapidly! He's excited to see what else we can do. Being our DL, he was very proud of how much I've grown so far in this exchange. A great day!

Wednesday: I don't remember anything special happening on this particular day. But lots of lessons and tons of contacts! Successful day.

Thursday: Really just another regular day, no big events other than I had a serious migraine all day. We still found success though, and I consider that a small miracle!

Friday: District council, more lessons, and a bday party! One of the families that we're teaching held a bday party for one of their daughters! The mom made a fantastic cake and we shared an amazing lesson with them. We loved being there with them!

Saturday: We visited Graca in the morning, and went mudding to get to her again. Afterwards we had a District leadership meeting that all the missionaries were required to attend. Afterwards we went back to the area and continued our day. We started teaching a very interested young man. He had so many questions for us, and evem wrote a whole pages worth of them for us to answer. We're excited to see how far he goes!

Sunday: What a wonderful day! We showed up to church with no one else there, and eventually we got 8 of our friends to attend!!! All of them said they absolutely loved the service and want to come back! We were so happy to see everyone there and that really pushed us through the rest of our day!

Spiritual Thought: So many people in this area belong to various different religions. The young man with questions was no different, and on Saturday night he stayed up from 11pm to around 5am just praying with his church. This scared us because he told us not to worry about his church attendance the next day. At around 5:30am on Sunday he messages us and told us he was going to bed. We saw this message and told him to still try to come, and that God would bless his efforts to attend. No response. Come to find out that ge decided to come to church! This guy only had 2 hours of sleep and remained super attentive during the whole service! What an absolute trooper! So amazing!

Until next time...
Elder King
