Epiphany
Howdy all!
This week was a lot of the same. Good, but a lot of the same.
Monday: Last Monday was pretty boring for a pday. A lot of sitting around, but I hung out with Elder Beamer a lot. He's a chill ZL so we were able to have some pretty laid back condos.
Tuesday: Comp exchange with my buddy Elder Redondo! This was the first day thay I really realized how trunky Elder Gutierrez was. He was really holding me back. This isn't to say that he was a bad missionary, because he was always so powerful in the lessons. He was just ready to go home. Anyways, with Elder Redondo we actually went finding in Tickyline and got a couple interested people.
Wednesday: It was me and Elder Redondo again. We went finding again and found a bunch of people who wanted us to come back. Great day!
Thursday: Elder Redondo came with me AGAIN and we did some more work. It had been raining the past few days and we did get stuck. This time the mud wasn't as deep, but I had to push the bakkie up an incline while Elder Redondo was on the gas. Otherwise, it was a pretty good day.
Friday: Back with Elder Gutierrez, and being three days away from leaving the area for good, the work slowed exponentially. Outside of that it was a chill day.
Saturday: Another slow day, same as Friday. But that night the transfer board dropped and I know who my next comp will be! His name is Elder Müller! He's from Sweden and I've heard he's a really hard worker so I'm excited for him to show up!
Sunday: Church as usual, fast and testimony meeting. We had a good number of people go up and bare their testimonies even though only about 9 people attended the meeting. Disheartening. But after church we had a nice member meal and then I drove Elder Gutierrez to Polokwane along with Elders Cordero and Edwards. Elder Gutierrez and Elder Cordero are both leaving, so me and Elder Edwards drove home together and hung out that night until the ZL's picked him up to crash with them.
Spiritual Thought: This week was a good finding week, so I will share a scripture about exactly that. It is D&C 29:7. "And ye are called to bring to pass the gathering of mine elect; for mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts;". This scripture is exactly what me and Elder Redondo were able to do. Those people we met were ready to hear the gospel and we're happy to meet with us. They truly were the Lord's elect.
Much Love,
Elder King
